I’ve dreamt of one day being able to share my greenhouse with you all and I’m beyond excited to finally be able to.

These subscriptions have been a dream of mine for a very long time. Growing is not just a passion for me, it’s part of my soul and I want to bring you on that ever-changing, growing journey. This is a chance to cultivate a community of growers within Harriet’s Plants, where everyone is welcome.

A growing community is incredibly important at Harriet’s Plants; it strengthens our mission to heal the environment and change perceptions. Something I feel so very passionate about. What better way to build community, than to grow together. Growing with you all would be a dream come true. To be able to offer such a wonderful guidance of growth feels not only therapeutic to you, but also to myself too.

It’s a chance to understand the different plants, get to know them. It’s a time to nurture both them and yourself, celebrating our interconnectedness.

Houseplant Seed Subscription

  • This monthly subscription offers houseplant seeds that have been chosen and curated by me - some have been sourced sustainably, others harvested in the Harriet’s Plants greenhouse. A growing cycle that gives me so much joy.

    Each seed is different, with it’s own wants and needs in order to thrive and germinate. Nature is full of surprises; the monthly seeds you receive will be a surprise too.

    Nothing makes me happier than seeds, particularly when they start to show their first signs of life. From the moment the seed packets are opened, to the moment the seed meets the soil; it all feels like magic. I want to share that magic with you all and connect to the natural world together.

    You will play an integral role from the very beginning of the plant’s story. This is a chance to form a bond for many years to come.

Grow with Me

The seeds turn into little plug plants.

Houseplant Plug Subscription

  • This monthly subscription offers a houseplant plug plant that has been nurtured and germinated in the Harriet’s Plants greenhouse.

    As the seed germinates, the ‘Grow with Me’ subscription follows it’s journey; growing the plant from a baby. Each plant has different requirements, needing different substrates and care. You don’t need acres of space to grow.

    To me sustainable and organic houseplants aren’t simply decorative objects - they hold much greater meaning. Within our homes, houseplants offer us a way to connect with the land, the seasons and the beautiful natural world.

    This is the perfect subscription for growers. We will get to know each plant together - it’s origin, it’s history. I’m excited to share my knowledge with you, jointly encourage one another and share success stories with our ever-growing community.

    We will navigate this together through monthly videos and an online community; sharing the joy whilst each plant continues to root.

Plant with Me

These plugs transform into plants.

Perennial (& More) Plug Plant Subscription

  • This monthly subscription offers a mixture of medicinal plants, flowering perennials / annuals, companion plants and edible herbs. Each month will be different, as each plant is different.

    Together, we’ll unravel the history and traditional uses of each plant - each one has a unique story to tell. ‘Plant with Me’ as we get to know the plants we’re growing; building a deeper connection with each of them. We’ll collectively dig our hands in the earth and fill our lungs with fresh air. Each month will be different, as each plant is different. You don’t need acres of space to grow.

    Learning to harvest; my favourite part about plant care - pruning, eating, cooking, arranging. The list is endless, and joyous. We’ll share ideas and learn from each other. A true community of plant growers and nature lovers alike.

    You’ll be guided by me through monthly videos and our online community which we will cultivate together.

Inside the Box

All contents are compostable

We fill each box with nature’s magic.

Your seeds or plugs will arrive with their own overnight bag. The box will be filled with everything they need to begin their journey with you. All accompanying items are fully compostable, with no plastic in sight.

  • The number of houseplant seeds you receive will vary each month depending on the plant we’re growing. You will always receive enough seeds (5+) to ensure a healthy plant with some back-up seeds too.

  • Plug plants have a well-established root system and a few sets of true leaves.

    What are True Leaves?

    True leaves are the leaves that develop after the seed leaves in a plant's life cycle.

    Only included in the ‘Grow with Me’ + ‘Plant with Me’ boxes.

  • Coir pots will get your plug plants off to the best start. Compared to plastic pots, they are better for both the environment and your plants. Coir Pots simply rot down in the soil after use which produces healthier, faster growing plants.

    Only included in the ‘Grow with Me’ boxes.

  • The wood fibre pots are biodegradable, organic and peat free. You can plant them directly into the soil to avoid root disturbance. Once moistened, the pots will allow easy root penetration.

    Only included in the ‘Plant with Me’ boxes.

  • When placed in water, each compressed Coir Compost Disc swells to magically produce approximately 1 litre of coir compost. Not only is Coir Compost peat free and environmentally friendly, it provides optimum drainage, balanced water retention and excellent oxygenation.

    This RHP-certified coco-substrate ensures quality and is fully certified giving you peace of mind that we are fully compliant with industry standards.

    The coir disks are made in Sri Lanka, using a by-product of the coconut industry.

  • The compost mix differs with each plant; ensuring it has all it needs to grow. Peat free and contains no Perlite. Only included in the ‘Grow with Me’ and ‘Plant with Me’ boxes.

  • There’s something so simple about writing on a plant label. Not only does it avoid confusion whilst you watch your plants grow, it’s another form of connection and acknowledgment of the uniqueness of each plant.

  • All packaging that your wonderful plants will be sent in is 100% compostable and suitable for your compost heap or regular recycling. You will also be able to reuse some of the packaging within your home. Some of it could go into that box a lot of us have that is full of excess wrapping paper and gift bags that we dig out at Christmas to wrap gifts. There are endless uses to our packaging and I’d be happy to guide you on how I will be utilising my packaging with every month.

    There will be a video to come with each month's box, that will break down the components of the packaging to make it as easy as possible for you to dispose of the waste responsibly.

  • Pollinators

    This month we’ll build a “doorstep” pollinator ecosystem. Pollinators are vital for so many reasons; they’ll also help to reduce the numbers of pests i.e. aphids.

    Together, lets plant our own wild spaces so that the natural world surrounding us remains balanced and our pots & gardens can flourish.

  • Companion plants

    Companion planting involves growing certain plants together so one can benefit from another; the perfect natural partnerships. Companion plants can provide pest control, pollination, nutrition and so much more. Another example of nature’s magic!

  • Dahlias

    Pure happiness. Many Dahlias provide rich nectar at their heart and butterflies love them. These wonderful flowers when cut will bloom over and over again - filling the garden with colour.

Subscription FAQs

  • You don’t need much space to grow at all.

    Some seeds are happy germinating on a windowsill, others in the dark and even some in the freezer.

    I will be germinating alongside you, in my house, to ensure that I give you a relative and relatable growing experience.

  • Each subscription will be sent within the first week of each month and all video content will follow throughout the month.

    Important!

    To ensure we pack each plant’s overnight bag correctly and prepare their passports, we have a cut off date of 7th of each month. For example, if you sign up on 7th May, you’ll receive May’s box. If you sign up on 8th May, your first box will arrive in June.

  • SOW: There will be common houseplant seeds and harder to find seeds within this subscription.


    GROW: There will be common houseplant plugs and harder to find plugs within this subscription.


    PLANT: There will be a vast assortment of plugs within this subscription.

  • SOW: Seeds vary in size and quantity given will depend on the plant we are growing that month.

    GROW + PLANT: Plugs are baby plants that have been lovingly grown by me in Cornwall in modular trays. They are approximately 10cm in height but all plants grow differently and are individual in their habit and growth patterns. We will learn about all of this as we go.

  • SOW: Seed germination tips and tricks will be provided within the box. Additional care for the plant will be available using our downloadable houseplant care guide.

    GROW: A downloadable guide can be utilised and will be shared each month with the appropriate plant advice. Video content will be available within the community group each month for you to follow. You can ask me and the community anything throughout the month, as we will truly be growing together.

Managing Your Subscription

  • When you click the subscribe button, you’ll be taken to the express checkout to confirm the order. To complete the transaction, you will be asked to log in or create a new customer account.

    After the order processes, you’ll receive an Order Confirmed email with their subscription details and information about how to manage your settings. Your account saves the credit card entered at checkout. This credit card is charged for the subscription's automatic renewal each month.

    If you cancel your subscription and later wish to resubscribe, you can use these same steps.

  • You can view and manage your subscription from your customer account. After logging in, click ‘My account’ and then ‘Subscriptions’.

    You can view your subscription details including:

    • the next order date

    • product price

    • subscription frequency

    • order history

    • saved billing and shipping information

  • MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION

    Yes. You are in complete control of the monthly (rolling) subscriptions. You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging in to your customer account.

    This may not automatically cancel the most recent order, please contact us to discuss.

    YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION

    If you’ve paid for the yearly subscription (which runs until December 2024), unfortunately, you are unable to cancel as you have paid upfront for all the wonderful boxes we’ll be sending to your door.

  • We have created each Facebook community as an exclusive space for subscribers of ‘Grow with Me’ and ‘Plant with Me’. As this is a bonus inclusion with each subscription, you will no longer be able to access the group once your subscription has been cancelled.

  • Monthly subscriptions renew at the same time on the same day each month - the same as the date of your initial purchase. For example, if your subscription began on 5th May, your next payment will be 5th June.

    If a monthly subscription starts on the 29th, 30th, or 31st, the renewal date will change when the renewal month doesn't have a corresponding date. For example, a monthly subscription started on August 31 will renew on September 30, and it will continue to renew on the 30th of each month until February. In February, it will renew on the 28th, and will continue to renew on the 28th indefinitely.

  • To update your payment information or change your billing address, you can click Payment method, and then ‘add new payment method’. This option is available through your customer account.

    To change the subscription shipping address, you must cancel the subscription and resubscribe using different shipping details.

  • You will receive an email notification which includes a link to update your billing information.

    The charge is attempted again after five days, and then for a final time five days after that. If the payment fails for a third time, the order and subscription are cancelled, and you’ll receive an email.

    You can update your payment information in the Subscription panel in your customer account.

    A failed payment may be because of an issue with your payment method, or our payment processor.

Delivery FAQs

  • The parcels delivered will be in a Royal Mail small parcel which means they will either need a safe place for delivery or someone in to take the parcel. Royal mail will leave a note to say they have been and where to find the parcel. You will also be able to find any information via the tracking number provided to you.

    Please note; Harriet doesn’t take any responsibility for lost or damaged parcels that have been left in a safe space.

  • If a replacement is needed, Harriet will be happy to replace what is damaged. Please email Harriet with photos of the parcel and the damaged plants/products within 24 hours of receiving your parcel and Harriet will sort the rest for you. We don’t accept damages after this time period as plants are living. Please soak plants in water upon arrival to give the plants a drink after their journey to you.

  • We do not currently ship outside of the UK. Please contact us if you’d like to discuss further.
